Puppy Picture

Just remembered I had this! Its Salem when he was about ten weeks old! He is so cute then (and now). Things with him have improved so much, even though we still have our disagreements. He recently had an ear infection, so thats clearing up (finally). We just had our 6 month Public Access test, which he passed with flying colors. I am excited to note that Salem is no longer afraid of my little brother. While he was never aggressive towards him, he would immediately walk away when Andrew came anywhere near him. I didn't nessecarily encourage this behavior, but I didn't scold either, because I didn't want him to feel cornered. Problem no longer! Yay!
For his test, he did really crappy with his door hook, but other than that he did everything perfectly, including paying for me, which we haven't practiced since my last test. Well, actually, we practiced once, but that was it! I was pretty amazed when he did it after hearing the cue only once. Yay for him! Well, more later!

I might begin to wean him off treats, because he seems to do better with fewer, as wierd as that may seem. So, yea, today he let me put his gentle leader on him! Yep, cool, huh? Gentle Leader progress!!!!!!!!

Ok, before this point in time, Salem has never allowed me to put his gentle leader on him. BREAKTHROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today we managed-with lot's of C&T-to get it on him, with ZERO assistance! Yay!

Frustratioin

Sorry, but I need to let this off sometime. I am sick of Salem not letting me put his gentle leader on him! It is something I need to be able to do, but it just isn't working. My mom has to do it, because you have to basically hold his collar to keep him near you to put him on it. RRRR! Sorry.

Bed

We have been teaching bed now, after perfecting Step. Bed simply means go toy our bed. In about an hour total he will now do it from across the room. Things in school cafeteria are still not going well, but we're gonna get him a kong, which should fix that. ummm, that's about it. I love getting comments, so post some! SIgning off, salembuddy
